Werewolves are nothing more than property, kept under strict control of humans. There are no laws protecting a werewolf. There are no rules as to how a werewolf must be treated. When Jackson turns 18, his father insists he purchase his first werewolf. That status that comes from owning a werewolf can't be beat, and Jackson's father won't have him be considered anything less than the best.
